Vicar of All Saints’, Peterborough vacancy

A priest with energy, drive and vision is sought to lead this family-friendly church, with an Anglo-Catholic male and female choral tradition, on the next stage of its journey. The church sits opposite a spacious park and close to the centre of an expanding city, on the east coast mainline and the A1, and the parish comprises a diverse community and contains several places of education, from primary to university level, including its own primary school, which offer a significant pastoral and missional opportunity. We seek a priest who will embrace these traditions and opportunities and who will:

  • Have sensitivity to the promptings of God and enable the flourishing of the entire church family as it seeks to adapt to new times and technologies and to use its talents to the full

  • Encourage growth in numbers, particularly an increase in the existing presence of younger members of the congregation, and in the depth of discipleship and participation

  • Nurture and develop the pastoral care offered by the church, and strengthen the church’s ever more inclusive outreach into the local community

  • Oversee the whole life of the church, including its structures, and be committed to engagement with the wider deanery and diocese
